The Azkals boast a strong provisional line-up ahead of the FIFA WCQ
As the days pass by, the return of Philippine Football this year is getting closer. A few days ago, a temporary lineup of the Philippine National Team was posted, showcasing a pool of players that will join the upcoming training camp in Qatar.
As The Philippine Azkals are gearing up for the last few games of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, Filipino fans were shocked, surprised, and in awe upon discovering new names added to the line-up.
Bolstering the squad are names like Bernd Schipmann, from Rot Weiss Ahlen in the German 4th division Regionalliga West, and Matthew Baldisimo from Pacific FC in the Canadian Premier League.
There are two new defenders entering the training camp, namely Jefferson Tabinas, who’s currently playing in Mito HollyHock from the J-League 2, and Michael Kempter, who’s currently playing Neuchâtel Xamax FCS in the Swiss Challenge League.
Another player coming back to the line-up is John Patrick Strauß, who is currently playing in the second division of the Bundesliga with FC Erzgebirge Aue. In the next few days, other players will be announced.
Who knows, more shocking news might come out. Bienvenido Marañon's naturalization, Holtmann finally joining the Azkals squad, or even Kristo Strickler might join the fray. In the meantime, stay tuned to Eat, Sleep, Breathe Football for more Azkal updates.
